Global Classroom: Discrete Mathematics & Its Applications between Two Nations!
Global Classroom (GC) is currently demanded in Teaching and Learning of 4.0. In parallel with the current situation, Faculty of Industrial Sciences & Technology (Science Program) in collaboration with CIReL, UMP took this opportunity on handling a mass lecture of GC for Discrete Mathematics & Applications course (BUM1433). As the first course run the GC program by UMP, the Deputy Director of CIReL, Dr. Gan Leong Ming considered it as excellence and motivates other faculties to do the same.
This mass GC involved with BINUS University (Mrs. Viska Noviantri) with a total of 330 students from six different sections, handling in two different lecture halls, WDKU-S-01 and WDKU-K-01 via ZOOM apps. All the students are from Faculty of Computer Systems & Software Engineering (FSKKP) who took this subject in this semester under Dr. Yuhani Yusof, Dr. Mohd Sham Mohamad & Pn. Intan Sabariah Sabri. This GC runs well with good introduction from both sides, besides a running video prepared by the students. The turning points of this GC start when the Kahoot! quiz start and the survey online done by scanning the qr code. In the future, this collaboration of GC can further extend as joint research and conference.
