SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION OF AZOLLA BIOMASS AS HIGH PROTEIN FEEDSTOCK FOR AQUACULTURE INDUSTRY / COMMUNITY
July 27- Dr Rama Yusvana from Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology was conducted a workshop entitled "SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION OF AZOLLA BIOMASS AS HIGH PROTEIN FEEDSTOCK FOR AQUACULTURE INDUSTRY / COMMUNITY". This workshop was conducted with Jabatan Perikanan and FELCRA Berhad. Various participants from the local area in Pahang were joined this workshop. All of them very curious to know about an aquaponic farming system. This workshop also provided hands-on training for the construction of an aquaponics farming system for the production of Azolla biomass as high-protein feedstock. Furthermore, Dr Tan Suat Hian also giving a briefing regarding the opportunities for SME companies to apply for Public Private Research Network(PPRN), which have some allocation to solve their problem if successfully get the grant. At the end of the workshop, all participants were received a sample of Azolla as a souvenir for them. Dr Rama Yusvana have created a video to simplify the theory for aquaponic system.
