Global classroom with Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA)
In order to support the Centre for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiative to connect students and academics from different countries, a global classroom was conducted on 16th January 2023 for in the teaching and learning of BSB2193 Industrial Microbiology.
Global classroom is a cost-effective way to globalise the on-campus learning experience. Dr. Lee Chin Mei, the coordinator of the course has invited two guest lecturers, Dr. Dinar Mindrati Fardhani and Ms. Shafina Mutia Syarifah from Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA) for global classroom. Both invited speakers joined the class physically.
However, students from UNISA were joining via online platform. Students were learning about application of microbe to degrade cellulase to produce bioplastic.
