Research Summary
Dr. Norazura Binti Ismail is a Senior Lecturer of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program at Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. She was graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) and Master of Community Health Science (Environmental Health). She has completed her doctorate in Occupational Health and Safety at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) specializing in Environmental and Occupational Health. She has 17 years of experience in research related to Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health cluster since 2002 whether as a Postgraduate Researcher, Research Assistant, Principal Researcher, Co-Researcher and Consultant. Her research area includes indoor air quality, qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, risk management, environmental and industrial toxicology, epidemiological studies on respiratory and neurobehavioral health, and workplace health promotion. Those researches involved cross-sectional and intervention study designs focusing on heavy metal, particulate matter and organic solvent exposure at several workplaces. She had also supervised 56 undergraduate final year projects in various OSH related topics and also involved in consultation works related to accident cost and ergonomic studies at workplaces. Currently she is doing research on fatigue risk management and dust exposure in industries
