1. Where is the location of UMP?
Gambang campus is located nearby Gambang exit of East Coast Highway (LPT). You will see clearly the signage of UMP on your left hand side.
2. When the Faculty of Industrial Sciences & Technology is established? How many academic programs are offered?
The Faculty of Industrial Sciences & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang was established in May 2008 with the initial offering of the Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) Industrial Chemistry during the 2008/2009 Academic Session, followed by the Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) Industrial Biotechnology during the 2009/2010 Session. The latest program addition is the Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) Material Technology with the first intake of students during Semester 1 of the 2012/2013 Session.
3. What are the objectives of the faculty in educating students?
The main objective of the Faculty is to address the need for manpower in Science and Technology; to increase knowledgeable and competent human capital especially Research Scientists and Engineers (RSE) as well as technical support in the chemical, petrochemical, oleo-chemical and bioresources - based industries.
4. What are the mission and vision of the faculty?
Our Mission is: "To be a Science and Technology based faculty that meets industrial needs and serves as main reference center"
Our Vision is: "We offer academic programs and consultancy as well as research in Science and Technology that emphasize industrial elements to produce holistic manpower to meet the stakeholders' need"
5. What are the facilities provided by the university?
In ensuring a conducive environment and harmonious campus, facilities have been provided to the campus community. Various activities were conducted with the aim of producing outstanding students from the physical and mental aspects. Among the facilities available are as libraries, internet and information technology, residential colleges, security, sport and recreation, counseling, student associations, banking facilities, a post office and cafeterias.
